ISLAMABAD: Abid Malik was working in a private hospital for over two years now. It is reported that he had no qualification or degree and never made any appointments either. He had been prescribing the medicines and treated patients in the emergency department of the hospital which is as critical to handle as ICU sometimes.
Dr. Tanveer Ahmed is the MLO (medico-legal officer) of hospital and has been blamed by the hospital officials for assisting Malik in emergency and in other sections of the hospital. But on investigating Dr. Tanveer refused to have any affiliation with Malik.
Dr. Mahmood Raja recently took the charge in place of Dr. Tanveer and he was threatened by Abid Malik for sending Dr. Tanveer to another department of the hospital.
“He said he was president of the doctor’s wing of a political party and threatened to gather a group of doctors against me” said Mahmood, adding that Malik could not show any proof of his qualifications or official designation at the hospital.
No statements could be taken from Malik himself.
