LAHORE: The measurements of the river inflow and outflow at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the water levels at reservoirs and barrages today are as follows:
Rivers:
Indus at Tarbela – inflow 15,600 cusecs and outflow 5000 cusecs; Kabul at Nowshera – inflow 12,900 cusecs and outflow 12,900 cusecs; Jhelum at Mangla – inflow 13,400 cusecs and outflow 5000 cusecs; Chenab at Marala – inflow 9700 cusecs and outflow nil.
Barrages:
Jinnah – inflow 27,000 cusecs and outflow 27,000 cusecs; Chashma – inflow 28,500 cusecs and outflow 26,000 cusecs; Taunsa – inflow 25,500 cusecs and outflow 25,500 cusecs; Panjnad – inflow 9800 cusecs and outflow 8900 cusecs; Guddu – Inflow 32,400 cusecs and outflow 25,100 cusecs; Sukkur – inflow 19,000 cusecs and outflow 13,000 cusecs; Kotri – inflow 9300 cusecs and outflow nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1435.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 1.106 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1113.40 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.870 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 644.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.130 MAF.
The inflow and outflow of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been recorded as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6:00 AM.
