Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Center (PSTIC) information technology (IT) experts on Tuesday advised students to acquire advanced knowledge of IT and training for better career opportunities.
Reportedly, a one-day seminar entitled ‘Introduction of Advanced Technologies in IT’ was organised by the PSTIC in the Library Hall of Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto Shaheed (MBBS) in Dadu campus of Sindh University (SU) Jamshoro.
Scores of students and faculty members participated in the seminar.
Meanwhile, Karachi PSTIC Director Abdul Fatah Shaikh urged students to obtain technological expertise and advanced information regularly.
He said that the PSTIC aimed to provide useable and beneficial information to students in the field of technology.
PSTIC Assistant Director Tariq Noshin said that PSTIC has been organising several IT workshops for encouraging students and unveiling innovative ideas in their respective fields of knowledge.
SU focal person in the workshop Prof Dr Munir-udin Soomro motivated students to attend such seminars for awareness and learning.
Besides, Prof Dr Aftab Ahmed Charan, lecturers including Mohammad Ashraf Kaloi, Amjad Hussain Lashari, Mohammad Athar Shar and Abdul Jabbar Mallah also participated in the seminar.

tribute to Ustad Bukhari on his 26th death anniversary in Dadu
The 26th death anniversary of the legendary poet, Ahmed Shah Ustad Bukhari was observed by the Ustad Bukhari foundation in the Zila Council Hall in Dadu on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, intellectuals, writers, and several literary and social organisations were present in the programme to pay homage to the outstanding services of Ustad Bukhari in the field of literature.
They pleaded with concerned officials to translate poetry of Ustad Bukhari into other languages.
A renowned archaeologist and historian Syed Hakim Ali Shah Bukhari said that Ustad Bukhari was a great poet who motivated people to strive for achieving success in life.
He said that the poetry of Ustad Bukhari was easily understandable for everyone.
Syed Altaf Shah said that Ustad Bukhari was “the poet of public” who had used poetic devices in his works.
He advised youths to read his poetry for guidance to success.
