LAHORE: A head constable and an under-custody suspect were killed when gunmen opened fired at them at sessions court on Wednesday.
The suspect, identified as Amjad, died on spot while the head constable, Asif, succumbed to his wounds while on his way to the hospital. The suspect’s acquaintance, Ahsan, was also injured during exchange of gunfire.
The incident occurred outside Additional Sessions Judge Imran Shafi’s court. Amjad, a murder suspect, was allegedly shot by family members of the murdered.
The police sources said that all exit doors of the court have been shut, while also saying that the suspected shooters are still within the premises and a search is underway.
